the first love story...

Many years ago, a young Harlow & Cricket Owen had a dream of some land of their own. When Harlow went to war, Cricket saved every cent and eventually they bought the land that is now Cricket's Grove. Harlow dug out the location for their farmhouse by hand. Cricket carried 5 gallon buckets full of rocks from the creek and hand stacked the wall that still stands in our ceremony area. They raised livestock and had a plentiful garden. They built their life here.

the second love story...

Hedgie and I have been married for over 28 years and have raised two amazing daughters. We are best friends, soul mates, true companions. We love nothing more than spending time together. But....

for the majority of our marriage, Hedgie has spent most weeks traveling the globe for work. Which makes having time together a bit tough. Looking toward the future, we had a dream of finding a way to get him off of planes and able to spend more time at home. 

I have long had a dream of an intimate location for weddings. Maybe with a barn. And some water. Someplace special. And in the Fall of 2023 I found just that and we started working on that dream for our future.
